Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Pinha Lab Software Ltda ("Pinha Lab", "we"), a company registered in Brazil under CNPJ 69.500.035/0001-96, at Rua Pais Leme, 215, Conj. 1713, Pinheiros, São Paulo, SP, 05424-150, Brazil, about the TreeWrite app, its license and its website. By buying a license or using TreeWrite, you agree to them.

Buying through Paddle

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it sells the license to you, charges you, takes care of taxes and invoices, and processes refunds. The buyer terms of Paddle apply to the purchase, alongside these terms.

The license

A license lets one person use TreeWrite on up to 3 computers at a time. It is not transferred to anyone else, and its key is not to be shared.

The subscription and what you keep

  • A subscription costs US$ 59 a year, plus the taxes of your country where they apply, and renews on its own every year until you cancel it.
  • While it lasts, your license covers every version of TreeWrite released.
  • When it ends, your license keeps covering every version released until the end of the last period you paid for and did not get back, forever. Versions released after that open read-only. Refunding or charging back the purchase suspends the license instead, as the refund policy says.
  • You can cancel at any time from your subscription. Cancelling stops the next charge, and does not refund the current period, except as the refund policy says.

The trial

TreeWrite can be used for free for 30 days from the first time it is opened. After that it is read-only until a license is activated: documents can be opened and read, but not changed.

Your documents

Your documents are yours. TreeWrite keeps them in files on your computer, and we never have access to them. What you sync or publish goes to the services you choose, under their own terms.

What you may not do

  • Share your license key with other people, or sell or rent it.
  • Get around the trial, the license or its checks, or help others do so.
  • Copy, change or redistribute TreeWrite, except as the law of your country allows.

We may suspend a license whose purchase was refunded or charged back, or that was used against these terms. A suspended license makes TreeWrite read-only.

Updates and the future

We release updates as we see fit, and may change or stop selling TreeWrite. Since a license is checked on your computer, the versions it covers keep working even if we stop.

No warranty

TreeWrite is provided as it is. We work for it to be reliable, but we do not promise that it is free of errors, nor that it fits a particular purpose. Keep backups of what matters to you, as with any software.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages, as lost data or profits, and our liability for anything else is limited to what you paid for TreeWrite in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms, and say so on this page with a new date. A change that takes away something you paid for does not apply to the period you already paid.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Nothing in them takes away the rights the consumer laws of your country give you.
